According to the story handed down to us, it was in this house that Bernardo da Quintavalle welcomed Saint Francis and came to the decision to become his first companion.
From this episode, the experience opens up to the discovery of the city and the places where the first Franciscan community took shape. The Palazzo becomes the starting point for exploring Assisi, following a story that has deeply shaped its identity.
Entering history
Day 1
A glass of Umbrian wine or an infusion accompanies your arrival. The story of the Palazzo introduces its connection with Bernardo da Quintavalle and touches on the history of the inner chapel, linked to the memory of that encounter.
An illustrated map previews the places you will explore the following day. The evening is devoted to a Franciscan dinner with a seasonal menu, and to rest.
Reading Assisi
Day 2
After breakfast, a guided itinerary takes you through Assisi, starting from the places connected to Saint Francis. The traces of the Saint become the thread that draws you closer to the city and reveals a less familiar perspective on it.
On your return, the afternoon turns to a quieter, more inward dimension. The suite, the wellness area and the aromatherapy ritual make room for rest, accompanied by a selection of teas and infusions.
One last look
Day 3
After breakfast, the morning is free. You may return to one of the places encountered along the way, or linger a while longer at the Palazzo before departure.
